But be renewed by the Holy Spirit and put on the new self.
Ephesians 4:17-24
You are an evangelist.
It's a joy to be together.
Back to Ephesians, chapters 1 through 3 of Ephesians talk about salvation.
Emphasizes the status of salvation.
Chapters 4 through 6 talk about the saved life.
I hope you will be taught through the word how to live a saved life.
I hope you can live a precious spiritual life where you can live this kind of spiritual life.
In a big house there are big bowls, wooden bowls and earthenware bowls.
Among them, there are some that are used sparingly and some that are used roughly.
Any vessel that can be used as the owner wishes is a precious vessel.
If the bowl is dirty, the owner cannot use it as he pleases.
What the Apostle Paul says today is to throw away the old and bring in the new.
I always say to throw away the old and have the new.
I need to be able to feel that I am growing spiritually.
I hope you live a spiritual life that brings spiritual growth.
If we have old frames, it becomes a stumbling block when we are put to use.
If we still have our old self and old constitution, God cannot use us.
New wine must be put into new vessels, not old and worn-out ones.
I hope that we can renew and truly live the life of an evangelist.
Every time I hear the word evangelist, my heart races and I feel so moved.
Everyone, we must move forward as vessels that can save 237 countries and 5,000 races.
We need to have a large vessel that can hold all the people who come to our church with spiritual problems.
We must become a big vessel.
It should be able to accommodate anyone who comes.
The bigger the bowl, the more it will pour out.
We must become vessels that can accommodate any saint.
Problems may arise as you go through life, but I hope you can leave them all to God.
We must prepare ourselves to live a spiritual life where we truly entrust our problems to God, find answers in our problems, and enjoy the gospel through our problems.
Please renew in 2025. There are 52 weeks in a year. If you renew once a week, you will be able to renew 52 things.
You can be a huge vessel.
I believe that your constitution will change a lot. I hope that you will completely take off the clothes of your old self and put on the clothes of the new self that God has given you.
To get to the point, there is an old person that needs to be shed.
And, we have an old self that we have to put away.
The Apostle Paul teaches people how the saved children of God should live, wearing clothes that are familiar to them.
That we have a life that we must cast off in order to live a spiritual life.
We must throw off the old self's clothes, following the temptation of desire.
The expression 'to rot away' means to become an old person.
There is no other way but to go down the path of eternal destruction.
Those who receive these words are the people of the church in Ephesus. At that time, the church in Ephesus was made up of idolatrous and corrupt believers.
Because the church was like this at the time, there were many Gentiles who were saved through Jesus Christ.
The apostle Paul tells the people of the church in Ephesus that they need to put off their old self.
Please look at verse 17 of the text.
The appearance of the old man was described as 'vanity'.
Here, 'vanity' means empty and hollow. It refers to something without purpose.
I tried hard in my own way and thought I lived a meaningful life, but it was all the same as the Tower of Babel.
It says that all is vanity and futility, and that life without God is in vain.
If you only believe in the things of the world, the vicious cycle will continue. This state is called being an old person.
You are separated from the life of God. You become in a state where your intelligence is darkened.
We have no choice but to live a life that is contrary to God.
But we have been delivered from this state through the blood of Jesus Christ, and have become new people, having been cast out of the old man.
We call the old people wrong and different.
It refers to something that has been imprinted as wrong.
Living the life of an evangelist means changing wrong impressions, roots, and constitutions.
Looking at verse 19 of the text, it says that we must stand before the word of God.
To know God's will accurately, we must stand before God's Word.
We just need to quietly hold on to the Word and go forward in prayer, and the Word will continue to be fulfilled.
He is telling us not to be stubborn.
We must be completely open to the Word of God.
When the word is proclaimed, you can say Amen. This is called the open state.
The more you say Amen, the more you can focus on the Word.
Why do I say Amen? To open the door of my heart.
When you say Amen, a new imprint history takes place.
When you are imprinted with these words from the pulpit, you can break free from your old self.
The life of faith is not about emptying. It is about filling.
The life of faith is filling me with the Word of God.
So I hope that by filling the pulpit with these words, you can live a completely new life.
I hope you live a life that is completely out of the old mold.
In a word, I must fill everything about myself with words.
All our hearts and lives must be filled with the Word of God, so that we can begin anew.
We are people who have completely departed from the old man.
We must put on the clothes of a new person. Only then will we be able to live the life of a new person that God wants us to live.
Next, there is the person who has to wear it.
We are people who have completely abandoned our old selves.
The Bible tells us to put off our old self and put on the new self that follows God.
The Apostle Paul speaks of the spiritual identity of the new man.
It means that we have become a new creation through Christ Jesus.
I keep explaining through clothes.
We used to live in prison uniforms. We were beings who lived in prison. However, through Jesus Christ, we have received a new identity.
We are now out of prison. What is the first thing you do when you get out of prison? You take off your prison uniform.
You wouldn't wear a prison uniform just because it looks good, right?
But there are many people in the world who wear prison uniforms and practice their faith.
You must not practice religion.
We must put on the new self created according to God’s word and according to God’s likeness.
What does it mean to follow God? It means to follow God's purpose.
What is your purpose in life?
We are people who live for the glory of God.
The Apostle Paul was the leader in this regard.
In Philippians 3, we see that everything except Jesus Christ was considered as excrement.
Please hold on to what you need to hold on to, and throw away what you need to throw away.
If you have truly found value in Christ, you must be able to regard everything else as dung.
The Apostle Paul did not live a life of lack, but after discovering the value of Christ, he held on to what he needed to hold on to and discarded what he needed to discard.
It is truly a blessing to have discovered the value of the gospel in this one life.
Because I realized the truth, because I realized important values.
What a wonderful person the Apostle Paul is. I hope that the person reading this article will live a life like this.
I want to live a spiritually attractive life.
In 2025, I really hope you will live for the glory of God. Don’t wait around vaguely, but please have one country in mind among the countries where the church is doing missionary work.
If this country is in your heart, believe that this is the word given by the Holy Spirit.
You will be able to challenge through that country. You will be able to do missionary work properly.
Shouldn't our church do missionary work properly this year? I hope that the grace of this challenge will be with you.
Many people find evangelism burdensome. However, if you have difficulty meeting someone, you can connect them with a pastor or minister.
If you say something is difficult, there is no end to it. If you say it is difficult, you cannot do anything.
What I find difficult may be easy for others. Conversely, what others find difficult may be easy for me.
It's about leaving it up to that person to do what he or she is good at, and taking on the things that he or she finds difficult, and working together to achieve good.
I hope you share this blessing with us.
In the process of evangelism and missionary work, it is important to realistically enjoy a life of re-creation.
It is the glory of God. Evangelism and missionary work are God's mission work.
When you target that scene, you are living a new life as a proper person.
I believe that we should enjoy the blessings of one team.
I hope you live your life as a disciple of evangelism.
I hope that pastors will always become evangelistic disciples who walk alongside them when times are difficult and tough.
I believe that when we are truly going through hard times and difficulties, we must be together with the gospel.

Conclusion: Put on the clothes of a new person. How can we put on the clothes of a new person?
We must be renewed every hour.
We are a new creation.
The old man can never become the new man. The old man must die. We are born again.
We live a life of re-creation.
We are people who are born again of the Holy Spirit.
Our old man is dead. The moment we are saved, the old man is dead. We are now new men. The old man is no longer remembered.
Through Christ we have been created anew. To do this, we must hold on to three things.
First, we must enjoy spiritual life.
No matter how beautiful a branch is, it is meaningless if it breaks or falls from the tree.
A branch must be attached to a tree to survive.
Everyone, I hope you will live attached to the church.
I hope you will live your life holding on to the words of the podium.
Then you can live a life of spiritual life.
It has to be continuous, not occasional.
You should not worship occasionally, but worship continuously.
Hold on to the Word. It is your life.
You must hold on to the Word and pray about the Word. Then you can enjoy spiritual life.
The results of your words and prayers will be reflected in your work and studies.
The words of the sermon will continue to come true in your life.
Secondly, I hope that through that power you will completely break the old mold.
We cannot do it with our own abilities, but we can break the old mold with the power of the Word.
Thirdly, it needs to be filled with new things.
We must truly fill ourselves with thoughts that bring life to us, thoughts that evangelize.
A new impression must come upon us.
You must put off the old self and put on the new self.
You don't have to take it off and put it back on just once or twice, you have to take it off and put it back on repeatedly.
Then, the imprint, roots, and constitution will change.
I believe that we must continue to listen to the word of the gospel because it is extremely difficult to change our constitution.
I believe that you will enjoy the grace of a new person.
I hope you will challenge yourself with faith in this word for a week.
I believe that God will renew it.
Thank God, our old self is all dead.

Please help me live in 2025 as a new person who can give glory to God.
