The remnant according to the election
Romans 11:1-6
I will confess my faith.
And they all said with one voice, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
I see in some churches that when the pastor says, "You are the Christ," during the sermon, the pastor shouts, "You are the Son of the living God."
There is sin within us and we are constantly under attack from Satan.
If you do not confess that God is alive every day and every moment, you cannot overcome your surroundings.
Satan constantly attacks us.
It makes me focus on myself, chase success, rely on the world, and love the world more.
Confessing Jesus Christ every day should become a song.
The 66 books of the Bible are the word of God.
There are many books on this earth, but only the Bible is the word of God.
God's word will surely come true.
The word of God is alive and it is God.
God is still fulfilling His words.
But if I am not among those who have achieved it, then this is just a religious life.
Your family and church must be in the fulfillment of the Word.
It should be in that response.
He still answers our prayers.
Then shouldn't we actually get a response?
There are many things going on in this world, but God still focuses on saving lives.
Many people think that the Bible is a history book, a book of biographies, and a book of morals.
All Scripture is inspired by God and exists to convey to us the secret of salvation.
The Old Testament means promise.
The New Testament signifies the fulfillment of that promise.
God gave us a word, a promise, that we should believe in the seed of the woman.
Because of one man, Adam, we humans began to walk the path of death.
Humans cannot escape this fate.
If you suffer from spiritual or physical problems, you will end up in hell.
No matter how much merit or good deeds one may accomplish on this earth, humans cannot be saved alone.
The Messiah, the descendant of the woman, is said to come to this earth in a fleshly body.
He promised this through Isaiah:
The reason He was conceived by the Holy Spirit through the body of Mary in Bethlehem, Judea, was to die on the cross.
Last week was Easter, the day Jesus rose from the dead as proof that he is the Christ.
The only one who has risen from the dead is Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, 'Whoever believes in me will live, even though he dies, and will never die.'
This is the heart of the Bible.
God's promises are at the heart of the Bible.
You cannot be saved by keeping God's word, keeping the law, and living a good life on this earth.
Believe in Jesus as Christ and be saved only through Jesus Christ.
Last week I also spoke about stumps.
Even when a chestnut tree is cut down, the stump remains.
The word remnant means the people who remain.
Even though we are saved, tribulation may come and persecution may come.
Why is it that we are supposed to have everything going for us, but then diseases, trials, persecutions and all sorts of problems come?
Why is that?
Joseph was a man of the covenant, but why was he hated by his brothers?
Why was Joseph sold into slavery?
Why are you falsely accused of going to jail?
God says this is prosperous.
Being successful doesn't mean there are no problems.
That doesn't mean there won't be any difficulties.
It is to enable us to confess that Jesus is Christ no matter what problems or difficulties come our way.
No matter what the problem or the crisis, we can still communicate with God's throne through Jesus Christ.
Every promise God has given us can be fulfilled.
What is left?
It doesn't mean that you will study the rest, but that you will go all the way.
But in the Bible, this remnant is scattered.
When persecution came, those who believed in Jesus were scattered.
They persecuted and even killed them.
They threw living people into lions' dens and set them on fire. So the people dispersed and hid in the catacombs, that is, underground.
There are those left among them.
It means that the remaining ones will go all the way.
I have been going to church since I was little.
During the remnant period, you must listen carefully to the words.
There are only a few people who received the gospel in the church and stayed until the end.
There were people who were choir members and Sunday school leaders, but in the end, they dispersed.
If you believe in Jesus and are saved, you must go all the way, but as you live a life of faith, problems, trials, and persecution will come.
This is God's way.
Joseph was saved, but why was he sold and falsely accused?
David also tried to kill Saul by mobilizing 4,000 men.
But did Joseph or David give up halfway?
They stayed till the end.
Were they personable and strong? No.
They communicated with the throne of God.
The remnant risked their lives to spread the gospel, empowered by the power that came from the throne.
Through them, you give us the rest.
Through them, the faith in Jesus spread and the emperor was forced to make Christianity the state religion.
We need to know whether we are the ones left behind or the ones who will remain.
What will happen if we do not go all the way to the end when we receive the word today?
What does it mean to go your own way to the end?
We humans are born bound by fate.
Born self-centered, money-centered, success-centered, born with spiritual problems.
If you have physical problems, mental problems, and a failed life, you will go to hell.
What will happen if we continue down this path?
He said that while living a church life, he was tested in the church for only a year.
As we listen to the word, all sorts of things happen.
People also judge these words for themselves. They say, “I am Jesus, and I truly believe and am saved.”
You really have to believe these words and go all the way.
Samuel and Eli the priest could not even hear the word of God.
Was Samuel tired or weary because of the priest Eli? No. He heard the voice of God.
If you do not listen to the voice of God, you will become a wanderer and a scattered person.
Why rely on people?
Every human being is a sinner before mankind.
You have to really believe it. If you believe it falsely, you will be in trouble when it comes.
Whatever persecution came because of Jesus Christ.
When you directly experience the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, you can overcome trials, tribulations, and disasters.
But this is dead and should not come back to life.
There are many believers who have suffered persecution at home.
They tell us not to go to our church.
You can never win without this.
So, as you come to the World Mission Church, you must find an answer to the question of whether Jesus is Christ.
If you don't believe this, you won't be able to overcome the test when it comes.
If it is not true that Jesus accomplished everything on the cross, then it is nothing but a fraud.
You must not lie.
You can't win over people in this world with lies.
If we tell people that going to church among us will lead to imprisonment and that the second right is to kill, what kind of person would go?
We don't have to go all-in here and risk our lives.
Without Jesus, the powers of darkness cannot be broken.
Even when persecution or tribulation comes, God takes responsibility for our entire lives.
The Bible says this. Believe in the Aesir and beggar.
The reason God blessed the Republic of Korea is also because of the gospel.
If you are born into an idol-worshiping family and become an idol-worshiper, you will die and go to hell.
But what happens if you are saved and enter the important path of life, but then you become a problem and fall away?
You must become those who remain, those who will remain, those who will leave behind.
To do that, you must hold on to the covenant.
When the child is young, he or she can follow his or her parents.
But the cursor can make this child look down on the church.
Is the Blue House precious?
Is the UN headquarters here?
Are you visiting UN Headquarters?
However, God has never entrusted the gospel to the Blue House, the UN headquarters, or the police department.
I have to tell you the secret of the assistant.
You should hear a voice communicating with your assistant.
During his three years on earth, Jesus gathered many people.
In Rome, they believed that Jesus was the Messiah who had been saved from a colony, and confessed, and others also confessed Jesus, but they scattered after seeing Jesus die on the cross.
God's love is infinite.
However, if we look at the text for today, many Jews are the chosen people.
God did not choose the Jews, but sent the Messiah through them.
First, he chose the people of Israel.
Why did God abandon the people of Israel?
But God sought a remnant among them.
There have been many different things, but only a few people remain.
God said he would never abandon us.
God is not a God who turns away from or abandons his people.
Then there is the word about Elijah.
When Elijah was in danger of death, he appealed to God.
Everyone got down on their knees and said that there was no one left and that I was the only one left.
He asked me to kill him.
God has Elisha for such an Elijah. There are still disciples who do not kneel before the king.
God tells us that we have a remnant.
He tells us to be left behind.
The important thing is that we must be the ones left behind.
Every day, He gives me strength from His help.
You have to be the one left behind.
Do not be influenced by what people say, but be influenced by the word of God.
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
So then, why do tribulations come to us?
Why do trials and difficulties come to us?
God allows us to experience tribulation.
God allows us to be persecuted. We need to know this.
If you don't know this, you cannot succeed in your life of faith.
Also, please do not bring greenhouse-grown plants outside. They will die quickly.
Plants grown outdoors, in the wild, survive no matter what.
The only way God destroys the remnant is through trials and tribulations.
People who commit suicide don't just commit suicide; they commit suicide because their spiritual problems are too great.
However, no matter what problem you face, if you communicate with your advisor, God will give you the strength to overcome.
He gave Joseph strength when he went into slavery.
What is Hyungtong? Going to jail?
God's presence is called prosperity.
You are edifying us.
If there had been no such tribulations and trials, I would not have been able to become a witness.
No matter how much we get cursed at, will it be this bad?
Job never cursed God under any circumstances.
He has disciplined me, said Job.
Sometimes He tests us through trials and tribulations.
The Bible, Romans 5:3, tells us to rejoice in our sufferings.
Tribulation means patience.
Patience means discipline.
The podium represents hope.
Even the stone within the stone must be melted in a furnace to become pure gold.
There is no reason why North Korea believes in Kim Il-sung.
But we certainly have reasons to believe.
If there had been no podium, a king like David would not have emerged.
Please look at verse 4 of today’s text.
Elisha was appointed as his successor.
What Elisha did was to start a movement of the Dothan movement, a movement of the later generations.
There are still those left on the scene all over the world.
The most important thing in African missions is the remnant.
God's grace doesn't make sense. We can't do anything without God blessing us.
So we have to go to 237 countries and 5,000 ethnic groups.
We must be the ones left behind first.
And the seven remnants were the ones left behind, and they looked for someone to leave behind.
God has made them have His hand on them, and through the economy of light and super medicine, He has healed incurable diseases, driven out demons, and made the lame rise.
He has accomplished things that we could never have done on our own.
Only those who hold on to the covenant of the Lord and continue with their whole heart and mind will be able to do so.
We can be the remnant that goes all the way. Then, He will raise us up as the ones who will save many remnants.
Thank you, God. Please let me be in this word, in the flow of the word, in evangelism and missions.
In the name of the living Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
