호세아 6:1-6

말씀 녹취록

I desire to know God.

Hosea 6:1-6

hallelujah.

amen.

Thank you for the gracious praise.

The core message we should consider important in the Old Testament is sacrifice.

It is a sacrifice, or in other words, worship.

So God made humans worshipful beings.

Although God made all creatures and wild animals for humans, He created only us humans in His image and made humans worship Him.

But that is not only for God's sake.

God is not someone who must receive glory from humans.

Just because we do not give glory to God does not mean His glory is lacking.

It is not that we lack anything from God just because we do not worship Him.

Because God lacks nothing, there is no lack in God's glory either.

God does not need our human help.

He is not someone who needs human help.

“Please help me. I have made plans for evangelism and missionary work, so please help me with my work.”

God did not speak to us that way.

God lacks nothing.

There is no lack of ability, no lack of glory, and no shortage of God's wisdom.

But why does God make humans worship?

It is not for God, but for humans.

It is for the sake of humanity.

We offer our bodies, hearts, and material possessions to God not for God's sake.

It is for my sake.

The worship you offer by coming to church today is not worship done for God, but worship done for yourself.

It means that I worship in order to live.

The Israelites offered so many sacrifices.

We offered various sacrifices, such as burnt offerings, grain offerings, sin offerings, and peace offerings.

During the 40 years in the wilderness, what the Israelites did was offer sacrifices and observe the festivals.

In that case, the most important priority in our lives is worship.

In that case, we need to properly understand why humans must worship and why humans are worshipful beings.

However, looking at today's text, God says, “I do not desire sacrifices, nor burnt offerings.”

After commanding sacrifices and burnt offerings in that way, He says in today's message, "I do not desire sacrifices."

This does not mean that they do not want worship itself.

It refers to worshipping without knowing the meaning, and offering sacrifices without knowing the meaning.

We have offered ancestral rites for a long time.

When Chuseok, Lunar New Year, and the day of the ancestral rites arrive, we prepare something and perform the ritual.

However, there are cases where people perform ancestral rites without even knowing to whom they are doing it.

Even when you worship, you come not knowing who you are worshipping, knowing nothing, and just sit there blankly, half-heartedly singing hymns and half-heartedly praying, and while listening to the sermon, saying, “Today feels a bit grace-filled. Why is the sermon so long today? Why is it the same old story?”

If I go to worship with only such thoughts, what connection would that have with God?

That worship is of no benefit to me.

Therefore, through today's scripture, what God is telling us is to know God.

It means to know Jesus correctly.

It is to know who the Holy Spirit is.

You must know what the Bible says and who you are.

Who am I?

Who am I?

It means I need to know my current address.

Why do you have a family, a job, and a school, and what is the reason you live your life in this field?

What happens to humans as they live?

Do you live on this earth forever?

No matter how long you live, it is 100 years.

100 years is short.

How much longer will I live?

Even if you are ten years old, you only have 90 years left to live, but the Bible says that a thousand years is like a day.

In God's eyes, even a thousand years pass like a single moment.

Eventually, he dies.

Is it over if you die?

Some people say, “Where is hell? Have you been there?”

Everyone, if you look at YouTube, there is a video where Pastor Shin Seong-jong tells the story of his experience in heaven and hell.

He is also a doctor of theology, and he was talking about heaven and hell.

Those who have had such experiences would find it difficult to be swayed because they have seen it themselves.

But do we really have to see heaven and hell to believe?

Ultimately, everyone will stand before God and be judged; those who believe in Jesus will go to Heaven, and those who do not will go to Hell.

Everyone, whose hands does the life, death, fortune, and misfortune of humankind rest in?

Whose hands does it depend on?

It depends on God's hand.

How do you know?

The Bible says so.

I believe that God's Word not only states that He is the One who governs human life, death, fortune, and misfortune, but that history also proves it.

Why do we learn history?

This means that we can see in history how God blesses individuals, families, and nations that believe in Him, and what happens to countries that practice idolatry, perform ancestral rites, and offer sacrifices.

There are people who follow communism even after seeing how it collapses.

Why is that?

It is covered in darkness.

Everyone, is it the end when a human dies?

You reap what you sow, depending on what you plant while you live on this earth.

If you have lived only for the flesh while living on this earth, you are reaping what will decay from the flesh.

However, if you have devoted yourself to the Gospel and dedicated yourself to God for evangelism and missions while living on this earth, it does not end there.

The Bible says that giving a cup of cold water to one of the least of these, or giving a cup of cold water for the sake of the gospel, will never lose its reward.

It doesn't end.

It doesn't just end there.

Most people in this world live solely centered on themselves, money, and success.

There is nothing one won't do to succeed.

It is also idolatry.

Why do you worship idols?

Why do you visit a fortune teller?

I am doing this to succeed.

Everyone, is success the answer?

One day emptiness strikes, and one day a curse strikes, yet one does not even know why they are crying.

Everyone, you must know God.

You must know who Jesus is.

You must know who God the Holy Spirit is.

The word of the Bible will surely be fulfilled.

It is accomplished according to the word.

You must understand the Word correctly.

You need to know exactly who you are.

You are a temple and children of God.

God loves you, watches over you with eyes like flames, and protects and guides you.

“I will be with you always, until the end of the age.”

However, the problem is that God is not believed.

It is that it is not believed that Jesus is the Christ.

It is hard to believe that the power of the Holy Spirit is tremendous.

No matter how much I hear the word, I cannot believe it.

In whose hands are human beings born and dying on this earth, and blessings and curses, held?

It is unbelievable that it is in God's hands.

Why can't you believe it?

How can you believe it?

It is God's grace.

We were dead in sins and transgressions, following the ways of the world and the prince of the power of the air, and were by nature children of wrath.

However, God gives us grace.

It is grace.

He makes us know the fact that Jesus is the Christ.

Just as the elder prayed today, Christ atoned for all our sins on the cross.

He destroyed the works of the devil.

Jesus is the only way to meet God.

How do you know this?

How can you believe this fact?

“It was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven.”

It is that my father made me know.

“You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Everyone, while it is important for us to worship, pray, serve, and dedicate ourselves diligently, we must first know God.

You must meet God.

You must pray for God's power to come upon you.

You must rely on God's power.

Only by the power of God can you effectively resist the schemes of the devil while living on this earth.

You can defeat the devil.

We cannot overcome the environment without overcoming the devil.

Problems, crises, conflicts, and trials constantly come to us—how many different kinds of issues are there?

How can I win?

Can you win with your character?

Do you win just because you are kind?

No.

You can't win.

You absolutely cannot win.

I can overcome through Him who strengthens me.

Therefore, the most important thing is that you must receive the Mandate of Heaven.

It is a thousand people.

What is the first thing all of God's people received?

It is a thousand people.

What was the first thing Abraham received?

It is a thousand people.

“Leave your native land, your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.”

It means to leave the curse that has been passed down through the mainland relatives, father's house, and family.

It means that if our family has been destined to be cursed for generations due to idolatry, rituals, and ancestral rites, then we must leave that place.

It means to hold onto the covenant of Canaan.

It is to hold fast to the covenant of Christ.

It means to look to the Lord, rely on the Lord, and constantly seek the Lord's help.

However, Abraham did leave after receiving God's command.

He did leave his homeland, his relatives, and his father's house, and came to the land of Canaan where Jesus would come, but he was deceived by his circumstances.

It has become tied down to food, clothing, and shelter.

Everyone, what is the biggest concern for us while we live on this earth?

It is food, clothing, and shelter.

If you don't have money, you can't eat for the first time.

It is said that there is still nothing to eat in North Korea.

How hard was it for us to make a living in the 1950s as well?

I was also born in the 1950s, but even back then, it was incredibly difficult to get through the lean times.

People these days don't understand.

We pulled up and ate wild chives, ate pine bark, and chewed on corn husks.

Who chews on corn husks these days?

I even added water and kimchi to the leftover rice from the morning, boiled it, and ate it until dinner.

There was no food, but there were many family members.

People used to have many children, but nowadays, having too few has become a problem.

It is said that countless people starved to death in North Korea because there was no food.

Does this make sense?

It is true that our most urgent problems are food, clothing, and shelter.

But are you happy just because your basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter are met?

Are you happy just because your clothes are piled up like a mountain?

Most people are tied down by the basics of food, clothing, and shelter, but once those issues are resolved, they think, “Shall I enjoy some more cultural benefits? Shall I give it a try and succeed?”

Everyone, human desire has no end.

There is no end to it.

Therefore, through Jesus Christ, our status and authority as children of God must be restored.

Abraham also came to the land of Canaan after recovering his status and authority, but he became fixated on immediate issues of food, clothing, and shelter, adopting humanism and falling into unbelief.

It is that God's word is not believed.

He clearly said, “Through your seed all peoples under heaven will be blessed,” but because they could not believe it, they mobilized all sorts of means and methods.

However, it doesn't work.

I cannot explain it in detail, but one day Abraham realized this.

One day, I experienced God.

I realized that the divine mandate God gave me is true and correct.

How did you know?

It is knowing God and worshipping Him in earnest.

Under the oak tree of Mamre, they knew and worshipped God.

Since God gives Abraham an answer and blesses him, there is no one who can stop the blessings God gives.

That is irresistible grace.

It is a representative grace that allows everyone to see.

Then why did God bless Abraham?

What is the reason for your blessing?

It is not a case of "mind your own business."

He made it so that all people under heaven would receive blessings through His seed.

Why must God bless you?

Why does God bless me?

What is the reason you should be blessed?

What is the reason why all our senior leaders and Remnants must be blessed?

You must become a witness.

The important thing is that the answer came from the moment Abraham came to know and worship the true God.

Look at the men of God in the Bible: Joseph, Isaiah, and Moses.

When Moses saw on Mount Horeb that the burning bush was on fire but had not disappeared,

As I approached, He said, “Do not come near. The place where you are standing is holy ground, so take off your sandals.”

It is an experience of God's presence.

Isaiah also experienced God's presence in the temple.

He experienced God's presence and confessed, "Woe is me! I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, yet I have seen God."

Isaiah experienced God's presence, Moses experienced God's presence on Mount Horeb, and David experienced God's presence while tending sheep as a child.

When Joseph was young, he experienced God's presence while holding onto the covenant and praying.

This is the mandate.

Why did God give Abraham such an enormous number of people?

It was given so that you might become a source of blessing.

Why did He bless David?

Why did He call Isaiah?

God also called the Apostle Paul in Damascus.

What makes you think you're so great that you're making such a fuss?

If God is present with you, we humans are beings who have no choice but to submit before God.

This is the most important priority in our faith.

Therefore, after we believe in Jesus, are saved, and become children of God, our task is to have fellowship with God.

It is worshipping God.

That is all.

You just need to look to God.

However, we do not look fully to God but look to people, rely on power, and seek God only when we are in need.

And yet, I know only my own things, my children, and myself.

I know nothing but my children, and I only think about my church and my own things.

God has called us to save our family, the church, the nation, and the world through me, but we know only ourselves and only our children.

I only hold onto my wishes, my goals, and my ambitions.

So why isn't there a response? Why do I keep reaching my limit?

God's purpose and my purpose do not align.

God's wish and my wish do not align.

Everyone, if the true purpose of my life aligns with God and the topics of my prayers align with God, how could God not answer us?

That is why we must hold onto the true covenant and know God correctly.

We must truly experience Jesus as the Christ, and through this Christ, we come to know God.

With the status and authority of being God's children, our task is to fellowship with God and rely on the power He gives.

It is relying on the Holy Spirit of God.

It is to overcome trials on this earth with that ability.

It is to overcome the schemes of the devil.

There are all sorts of things.

Therefore, while we live on this earth, we must continue to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and, whenever the opportunity arises, witness to Christ by any means necessary to the people God has placed in our care.

You must not give up.

You must align your entire life with evangelism and missions.

When I meet someone, I shouldn't think, "How can I use that person?"

We must ensure that Christ is witnessed to the people we meet through me.

If you continue to pray like that, God will surely send people to you.

Everyone, the reward given to you when you stand before God is evangelism.

It is the fruit of evangelism.

Deaconess, who evangelized you?

Who evangelized?

“Yes, I just came. I came even though no one evangelized.”

Who evangelized Deaconess Kangja?

Deacon Kangja came to believe in Jesus because the teacher evangelized.

When I was in my first year of high school, an evangelist who was a friend of my friend's father's older brother in my neighborhood evangelized me.

If that person hadn't evangelized, what would have happened to me?

There are plenty of people around you who have decided to believe in Jesus.

Even so, they do not tell you to believe in Jesus.

After doing all that, if you stand before God and He asks, “What did you come to do on this earth?” will you say, “I just came to eat. I came to raise my children. I came to attend worship services as a church elder or deaconess”?

When you stand before God, your reward is evangelism.

Did you know?

Among our elders and teams, there are those who are struggling desperately to evangelize as if their lives depended on it.

I hope our entire church focuses all its attention on evangelism.

You must evangelize.

I previously heard a story about Pastor Son Hyun-bo evangelizing.

It is said that he even went to a man who was trying to harm him with an axe, and eventually preached the gospel to him, leading him to become an elder.

It is said that when I went to preach, they tried to kill me by chopping me with an axe.

Just because Satan is interfering, we must not sit idly by with the complete gospel and the complete message, thinking, “God will take care of it. He will revive the church.”

How can a church experience revival without evangelism?

Please focus everything on evangelism.

That is also for my sake.

Everyone, when you stand before God, what remains is evangelism.

No matter what you do, keep preaching the gospel.

Preach the gospel whether the other person listens or not.

Why do you work?

Do you only care about making a living?

Then, what makes you different from others?

Preach the gospel.

falling.

What does it mean to 'know'?

It is knowing God.

Everyone, do you really know God?

If you really knew, you couldn't just sit still.

Do you really know Jesus?

Do you know about heaven and hell?

Do you believe it?

Do you believe in heaven and hell?

Can you sleep knowing that you believe your children will go to hell if they do not believe in Jesus?

It is said that Pastor Son Hyun-bo even went so far as to say, "I will starve to death," in order to evangelize his father, mother, and older brother.

If you believe in heaven and hell, could you just sit by and watch your child go to hell?

Honestly, try confessing before God.

Do I believe in God?

Am I believing in Jesus?

Do you believe in the power of the Holy Spirit?

Are you relying on the power of the Holy Spirit?

What does it mean to 'know'?

It is a life-giving relationship between God and me.

It is a vital relationship.

The parable of the vine appears in John chapter 15.

Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches.

That if we remain attached to Jesus, we naturally bear fruit—that is a life-giving relationship.

It is saying that you 'know' it.

Knowing God and knowing Jesus is a life-giving relationship.

If you truly believe in God's power, if you believe in God's existence and omnipotence, and if you believe that God is the one who governs life, death, fortune, and misfortune, then you have no choice but to rely on Him.

I have no choice but to leave it to him.

If you have really entrusted it to them, there is nothing to worry about.

But why are you worried?

It is unbelievable.

When praying, people say, “Almighty God, omnipresent God, God who counts even the hairs on your head.”

I say I believe in God, but honestly, there are times when even I can't believe when I'm going through tough times.

“Why is it so hard to believe?”

It is because they do not believe in God that they do not entrust it.

It is because you didn't entrust it to me that I am holding onto it and getting anxious.

“It’s mine, my child, my child.”

What do you mean by calling me my child?

Ultimately, it is believing only with the head.

It is done with the head, and only with the head.

Our attic members use terms like '7th Watch, 237, 5,000 Tribe'.

However, when you actually ask, there are cases where people don't know what it is.

God is not an abstract God.

God is not a God who stays only in our minds.

God wants us to know Him correctly as a whole person—intellect, emotion, and will.

Therefore, the people of God in the Bible experienced Immanuel through actual, holistic knowledge.

What kind of person did Joseph become because God was with him?

I became a prosperous person.

Being 'prosperous' does not simply mean that everything went well exactly as I wanted.

The point is that if God is with us, nothing is a problem.

Thus says the LORD who does the work, the LORD who forms and accomplishes it, whose name is the LORD.

God is a self-existent being.

We are not self-respecting.

No matter how loudly we boast, our life, death, fortune, and misfortune are in God's hands.

God is self-existent and the One who does works.

Who is the One who gives us the Word and fulfills it?

It is God.

It means, “Cry out to me, and I will answer you.”

It means to pray.

Therefore, the Bible contains many important passages related to the act of 'knowing'.

If you know God, if you know God through Jesus, you will understand why all the problems of this world came about.

It means that you will come to know why disasters came to this land, why wars came, and why natural disasters occurred, and the cause of all the problems in this land.

No matter how much of a doctor one is, or how great a hero one is, one cannot fully understand the problems of this land.

Sakyamuni is a great person.

What did Shakyamuni realize?

It is birth, aging, sickness, and death.

Shakyamuni did not say, “Believe in me.”

I didn't say, "Trust me."

What Shakyamuni realized is birth, aging, sickness, and death.

The fact that humans are born on this earth, grow old, get sick, and die—this is the reality of humanity.

But everyone, is it the end for a human being to be born on this earth, get sick and suffer, and then die?

Did God make humans that way?

Is God such a wicked person?

no.

God is the One who blessed man and made him to be fruitful and multiply.

If God is with you and God protects you, you are living a blessed life.

It is to live a blessed life.

If Jesus becomes the head of your home, it becomes a blessed home.

Please believe that if your family believes in Jesus Christ and becomes God's family, it will become a blessed family.

Say Amen a little louder.

When the senior pastor delivers a message here, please say Amen loudly.

Saying Amen doesn't cost anything.

One of the secrets to our church's revival is Amen.

In my opinion, the Amen is a bit lacking.

Say Amen often.

It doesn't cost any money.

God is not the one who made us humans suffer spiritually, mentally, and from disease on this earth only to end up in hell.

He is not that bad of a person.

God is the One who loves us.

He is the One who gave us His only begotten Son, the One who gave us eternal life, and the One who is with us.

God is the One who makes us prosperous, successful, and blessed.

We must not misunderstand God.

John 17:3 says, “And this is eternal life: that they know the one true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent.”

What is eternal life?

Knowing God and Jesus is eternal life.

Who is God?

He is the God of love.

He is the one who sent Jesus to us.

Jesus is the one who was nailed to the cross and atoned for all our sins.

In John 10:14, it says, “I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep, and my sheep know me.”

It means that Jesus knows His own sheep.

You know your children.

No matter how many children swarm out, if your son is among them, you will recognize him immediately.

There are many people on this earth, but Jesus knows you.

Jesus knows you.

For you, knowing Jesus means understanding the Gospel.

You must understand the Gospel.

You must understand Christ.

Everything is in Christ, but people do not recognize Christ.

Luke 10:22 says, “My Father has given all things to me, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

No one can know the Father except those who have received revelation.

You must receive a revelation.

The Holy Spirit must work.

When the Word of God is proclaimed from the pulpit, the Holy Spirit works to enable understanding, just as the scripture says, “He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

In Matthew 7:23, there is a verse that says, “Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of iniquity.’”

Even if you cast out demons, heal the sick, and perform miracles, if you used the Lord's name to make a name for yourself, the Lord may say, "I do not know you at all."

2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “We demolish every argument and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.”

You cannot know God through human philosophy, human knowledge, or anything else in the world.

Only through the work of the Holy Spirit and the revelation of God can we know that Jesus is the Christ, and only through Christ can we meet God and know God.

In that case, do you truly know and believe in God?

Do you know Jesus?

Have you ever believed it?

Have you tried praying?

Have you tried evangelizing?

How can you say it will work or not without even trying or believing in it?

Believe me.

Try praying.

Indeed, just as Jesus said, when we do not ask only what to eat, what to drink, or what to wear, but seek His kingdom and His righteousness, God will add all things to us.

Have you sought his kingdom and his righteousness?

Have you sought His kingdom and His righteousness?

I mean, try to find it.

What God wants from you at this time today is not work.

It is not just hard work and effort.

It is returning to God.

It means to come back.

It means to seek God.

It means to search diligently.

God says that He desires mercy rather than sacrifice.

What is benevolence?

It is loving people.

I shouldn't be the only one who knows.

We must look at our neighbors and the reality on the ground.

You must understand why the Gospel is the only thing needed in this land.

Today's passage clearly tells us that He desires knowing God before sacrifice.

If we truly know God, if we know and believe in Jesus, if we believe in the working of the Holy Spirit, if we believe that God's Word is clearly alive and being fulfilled even now, and if it is true that I am a temple and a child of God, then we can never perish.

We are in a position where we cannot fail.

We are in a position where we cannot go to hell.

Some people make absurd claims that only a very small number of people will go to heaven.

Don't say such things.

If you believe in Jesus, you will be saved and go to heaven.

It is not our credit.

If you believe in Jesus, you are transferred from death to life.

You just have to believe.

While living on this earth, if we truly and fully look only to the Lord, rely on Him, and draw strength from His power, we can overcome the devil and live the life of an evangelist.

Simply put, it means to believe in Jesus properly.

Look straight only to the Lord, and rely only on the Lord.

Do not wander around, do not go back and forth, do not straddle two sides, but look only to the Lord.

Try praying.

Try leaving it to God.

It means to experience what happens.

Just as the scripture says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good,” can you say whether a watermelon tastes bitter or sweet without even tasting it?

You have to break it open and eat it to know.

Have you tasted and known God's goodness?

Have you sought His kingdom and His righteousness?

Have you tried evangelizing in the field?

Have you ever made a commitment to give your life out of true faith?

Have you ever truly dedicated yourself to the Gospel?

It doesn't end.

Life doesn't just end.

I hope you strive to know Jesus according to the word given to you at this time today.

Do you know Jesus?

You must know the Holy Spirit.

Do you know the word of God?

You are children of God.

It cannot fail.

I believe that God will bless all the saints of our Yeolbang Holiness Church as His children and make them prosper.

hallelujah.

Thank God.

He gave a message today.

Please let me know God, know Jesus, know the Holy Spirit, know the Word of God, know that I am a temple, and know that God is the Lord of life, death, fortune, and misfortune.

Please grant me the firm belief that there is heaven and hell after death, and that helping evangelists is never in vain but will surely be given as a reward.

I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

amen.
