The Prayer Jesus Taught Us

Matthew 6:5-15

Jesus is the Christ.

Christ is my Lord.

Today is Thanksgiving Day.

The meaning of 'Mac' in Thanksgiving Day is barley.

Korea grows barley in the first half of the year.

The harvest festival is celebrated in Korean culture.

The second half of the year is Thanksgiving Day, which is tailored to American sentiment.

But, is there anyone among you who grows barley?

So, it shouldn't be taken literally as farming.

Thanksgiving Day is a holiday to give thanks to God.

In Exodus 23, it says to keep the Feast of Weeks.

It is called harvesting the first fruits.

There are three feasts mentioned here, the first of which is Passover.

When we were slaves in Egypt, He enabled us to escape through the blood of a lamb.

Second, Pentecost symbolizes God's guidance during the Exodus and the journey through the wilderness.

Finally, the harvest festival means gathering and storing away in a warehouse.

It means heavenly background.

The blessings of God's kingdom and salvation are all contained in the three feasts.

Through the three seasons, we can understand the blessings of salvation and the kingdom of God.

The important thing is that the answers to life and religious life are contained within it.

As we celebrate the third holiday, Thanksgiving Day, I hope you will deeply enjoy the spiritual meaning that God has saved me and is protecting and leading me into the background of heaven.

You must know that you are children of God who are saved.

We hope you will experience a blessed time of confirmation.

If we use a soccer analogy, this would be the end of the first half.

As we look back on the first half of the year, we should be thankful for the way you protected and guided us.

Without any accidents, many things happened in between, but we must know that that too was part of God's plan.

It will fill the second half with more richness.

Please be confident and look forward to this.

It's important to make people look forward to the second half.

We must live every moment with gratitude.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, I hope you find your spiritual identity and enjoy the answers to your life of faith.

Last week you were told to pray like this:

This is a prayer we should always pray.

God's saved people should enjoy this prayer in their lives.

You must always remember that prayer.

The prayers you pray can also be divided into the first half and the second half.

The first half is about calling out the will of the Father.

So we call on God and pray

It is a confession that He is omnipotent.

This meaning is contained within it.

It also contains the meaning that he is rich in love.

The word “we” also contains a missionary calling.

In this prayer, a missionary camp team of 6~7 people visited the Bulgarian missionary camp.

Our church is a missionary church that goes to 237 countries.

So, along the way, I went to a mission camp in Bulgaria.

Didn't you tell us to pray missionary prayers?

I learned God's will in this mission field.

I knew that God was always with us.

I knew that God knew that we were his masters.

More than anything, I felt the great support of your prayers.

I saw a lot of things at that scene, but I'll tell you just one thing.

There is a person named Lydia in the Bible.

She was a woman who served and loved Jesus very well.

He opened the woman's heart to follow Paul's words.

He said to stay strong.

In fact, Bulgaria, where we went, is close to the Macedonia region and the place where this person named Lydia lived.

It is very close to the Philippi area.

This ability to be intimate with one soul was with Lydia and with Paul.

It's been three years since Julia came to our church.

How gladly they welcomed us, the food was so sumptuous, it almost broke our legs.

Their hearts and minds were so deeply felt.

I am so grateful and I was so worried when I sent Julia to Korea.

No one knows to which region or to which land God sent him.

It was inspiring to see Julia grow spiritually.

Julia's mother's mother, her grandmother, looked very much like Lydia.

A missionary came to that house and opened the door to that house in that area, and our mission team was blessed.

A woman met an evangelist, and her daughter and granddaughters became a team and experienced a missionary evangelistic movement.

This is a field that we must continue to work on in the future, and the important thing is to hold missionary camps frequently.

If you would like more detailed information, please come to the afternoon service.

Enjoy your meal and stay for the afternoon service.

I have always been in this prayer as I continued to minister.

God did it.

God brought us this far through one person, through one person with the gospel.

When we pray, we always say that we glorify His name.

May his name be glorified in God.

God's glory came through his name.

We must always pray that His name may be hallowed.

We must give thanks and praise to the glory of God.

It must come from our hearts

Our first prayer, which we have the privilege of calling God our Father, should be the prayer that God wants us to pray.

Your greatest happiness is to be used as an instrument of God's redemption.

If we look at it this way, we may misunderstand that God is only unilaterally asking us to pray for the kingdom of God.

However, looking at the text for today, it is written that we should pray about life on this earth.

In the second half, there is a prayer to save us from our fatigue.

First, he said to pray for what is needed for the kingdom of God.

Let's get to the point, what's the first thing? You must pray for your daily bread.

'Give us this day our daily bread.'

It means protecting our home, work, and everything.

I ask that you provide for my home, my health, my work, and everything I need.

Some people ask God, “Should we pray to God for this?”

The people of heaven do not live by their own strength.

It is living by God's provision.

This was not accomplished by your own efforts.

God provides what we need through His provision.

What is contained in prayer? There is a very important meaning hidden in it.

We live by the grace of God.

This confession is contained within it.

He also told us not to worry about our lives.

God told us that God the Father knows everything.

He told us not to worry about anything and to be thankful for what we have.

I confess that my God fills all my needs in glory in Christ.

It is to live with a firm belief in the absolute sovereignty of God.

In particular, if you look at the text, it does not say to ask for a month's worth of food or for several years, but to ask for daily bread.

The Israelites ate this food as they traveled through the wilderness.

What piles up in the wilderness, what piles up white, is manna. It's a test to see if we're eating it right.

However, if you bring manna to eat until tomorrow but it has all rotted, it means you do not believe in God.

They did not believe that God would provide for them what they would eat tomorrow.

We see that God continually tests them through what they eat and drink.

Our life is a continuous test of eating and drinking.

We live a life based on the infinite resources of God.

I hope you all are always satisfied.

People who live by human power always live in poverty.

Human greed is endless. If you ask people with hundreds of billions of dollars if it is enough, they will say no.

We must pray every day.

We must have spiritual fellowship with God regularly and without fail throughout our daily lives.

We must communicate with God 24 hours a day and move forward looking at God.

God has clearly established our lives.

Today's things are given today.

Secondly, please look at verse 12.

We must pray to receive the blessing of forgiveness.

God forgave our sins on Mount Calvary.

He told us to enjoy this blessing of forgiveness. Let us enjoy it through prayer.

He freed us from the law of sin and death.

I believe I am completely liberated.

God further allowed me to use the blessing of forgiveness I received to connect with other people.

Although we have been forgiven of our sins, it is not easy for us to forgive and embrace others.

Let us all read verse 14 together.

The secret that God has allowed me to discover as I continue to meditate is that I am living a gospel life.

I need to know if there is true joy and comfort within me.

You need to know whether you are truly enjoying freedom and peace.

It is associated with a life of forgiveness.

It's like whether you live eternal life or not.

Aren’t you children of God who have realized the gospel?

I hope that you will live a life of true joy and enjoyment, and that many people will live the life of an evangelist who forgives and mourns.

I hope you get to know each other this week.

I hope you get to know us this week.

I hope you will approach us with the gospel.

The one who approaches first is the one who is actually enjoying the gospel.

The Lord's heavenly background will be realized in which gospel relationships are restored even in relationships with others.

Thirdly, let’s look at verse 13.

Please do not let the temptations of Satan test you.

This is a prayer for our lives to become victorious lives.

The presence of darkness continues to tempt us.

The fight against Satan the devil is possible only with the power and might of God.

There was a man named Beria. He was a man who kept muttering something, saying that this was the way to make ghosts run away in fear.

He keeps mumbling from the morning and says that what he does in the morning is to drive out ghosts.

I don't know if a possessed person can cast out a ghost, but it's strange that a sane person can make a ghost leave.

When a couple is fighting, wouldn't it be wrong to tell someone else to go away, you ghost?

When you open your eyes in the morning, you must look to the Lord.

When light shines, darkness is sure to go away.

Just by calling on the name of Christ, darkness is broken.

If you keep calling on the name of the Lord, Satan will not be able to find a way in. Satan will tremble.

However, we must never overlook the existence of a being called Satan.

It clearly states that there is an adversary, the devil.

He emphasized that we should not avoid these devils, but actually fight against them.

I believe that we must arm ourselves spiritually and fight a spiritual battle.

We must continue to immerse ourselves in God and look at the light.

I hope that you will always look to God and live a life that is victorious in the spiritual battle with Satan.

It is to use the power of Jesus Christ within me.

In conclusion, let's look at the last part of the Lord's Prayer.

This is called the Holy Spirit.

The last thing is to praise God.

It is said to praise God.

We conclude with a prayer that teaches us about Jesus, giving glory to God.

The most important principle of biblical prayer is that it must be a prayer that brings about the kingdom of God.

We must first pray for the expansion of the kingdom of God, and then ask for what we need.

We must orient our entire lives toward the Kingdom of God.

May all our prayers be renewed so that every direction of our lives may be aligned with the expansion of God's kingdom.

That is the life that ultimately brings glory to God.

I hope that your prayers will grow into Christ-centered prayers that bring the greatest glory to God.

Please pray that you will become God's best prayer warrior.

Thank you, God.

We know that the focus of all our prayers should be on the expansion of God's kingdom.

Please bless us so that we can exalt God's name and praise God's salvation with gratitude and excitement.

Please let this Thanksgiving Day be a week of gratitude and thanksgiving.

In the name of the living Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
