말씀 녹취록

A choice you won't regret

Matthew 27:57-61

I will make a confession of faith. You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Your life and future are determined by the choices you make.

We constantly make choices as we go through life.

Our lives change because of our choices.

Looking at today's text, Matthew chapter 27, we see the choices of several people.

I won't be able to read it all due to time constraints, but please make sure to read the entire text.

Three characters appear here.

He is the first person from Judaism to betray Jesus.

There are those who had Jesus crucified and those who received Jesus' body and buried him.

In conclusion, their choice was one that left them with eternal regret.

However, Joseph's choice was a choice of faith used to fulfill the covenant.

Through today's message, I pray in the name of the Lord that you become an absolute disciple who makes choices of faith, rather than choices that leave you with regret, in any situation or choice.

Judas betrayed Jesus and handed Him over for 30 pieces of silver.

Another person held a meeting with other priests.

So they devised a plan to arrest Jesus and put it into action.

He said that since the person he kissed was Jesus, an opportunity was created to arrest him.

This played a key role in arresting Jesus.

The name Judah means "to praise God."

However, contrary to the meaning of the name, he ended up walking a cursed path.

Then, what was it that led Judas Iscariot to have no choice but to walk the path of destruction?

I did not know that Jesus, who came to this earth, was the Christ.

I did not understand that Jesus is the Christ.

I knew Jesus simply as a political figure who would liberate the people of Israel.

I simply knew Jesus as a political liberator.

However, failing to understand this, he eventually arrested Jesus and is now regretting it.

There are many people who live their lives of faith without knowing that Jesus is the Christ or what He does.

There are many people who do not understand why Jesus Christ is important and have fallen into a formal religious life.

It means that there are far too many people who misunderstand or are mistaken about Christianity.

If there is no clear answer regarding Jesus Christ, the life of faith will eventually become a Tower of Babel and collapse in an instant, like a house built on sand.

Judas showed this fact exactly as it is.

In my opinion, Judas Iscariot should have gone before God, not before the high priest.

You must go before God.

The life of faith is going before God.

It is standing before God.

Therefore, we must do a good job of changing our self-centered thoughts into God-centered thoughts.

What do you mean I need to do well?

It is changing from a self-centered mindset to a God-centered mindset.

I come to realize that self-centered thinking leads to my complete destruction.

Please keep this fact in mind clearly.

If we look at verses 11 through 21 of today's text, another character appears.

At that time, Israel was under Roman rule.

At that very moment, the Jews were appealing to have Jesus arrested and executed.

What is surprising is that, looking at verse 18, Pilate was well aware that Jesus was innocent.

I knew that I was innocent.

However, looking at verse 19, Pilate's wife also knew that Jesus had done nothing wrong.

His wife told him not to proceed with the trial, but Pilate abandoned the truth and compromised due to public opinion.

According to history, this Pilate killed countless Samaritans throughout history.

Afterwards, Pilate, predicting that he would be ruined by public opinion, commits suicide.

The commonality among them is that they ended up on the path of destruction after making the worst choices.

We believe that we must make choices that please God, not choices that please people.

If you look at the Book of Galatians, there is a passage that says...

All saints, I hope you make spiritual choices that please God.

You must always be God-centered, know what pleases God, and make spiritual choices.

To do so, you must edit, design, and plan your life every day through the Word and prayer.

You must continue to enter into the Word and pray.

Our lives must be in a state of being captivated by the Word of God.

Then, the person who made the second best choice appears.

The title of today's message is "A Choice Without Regret."

A character appears who made the best choice, not a choice without regret.

Let's read verses 57 through 58 of the text.

If you look at Mark 15:44, it says that he is a respected member.

As today's text reveals, this person had nothing to envy in the world.

What action did he take in the text?

He went to Pilate and demanded the body of Jesus.

The reason this is important is that Jesus was executed on the cross, wasn't He?

The charge against whom he was crucified was treason.

If things went wrong, he could have gotten entangled with a traitor and died himself.

However, for Joseph of Arimathea, death was not such a big problem.

I did not take issue with death.

For Joseph of Arimathea, that was not a priority in the choice.

If we look at verse 57 of today's text, it says that Joseph was a disciple of Christ.

The disciple follows the word.

The disciple obeys the Lord's word.

Looking at Mark 15:43, Joseph is described as one who waits for the word of God.

Those who wait for the Kingdom of God.

Joseph of Arimathea was a man who always looked to God's word and made spiritual and faith-based choices.

In John chapter 19, he was unable to live an open Jewish life out of fear of the Jews.

As we have observed the flow of the Word so far, we have come to realize that the resurrected Lord gave the Gospel and restored us.

Such an amazing thing happened again today.

We believe that we must take firm root in the gospel and continue our spiritual training.

You must take root in the Gospel and go through the process of spiritual training and doing the Gospel.

You must have discernment to know whether this is the worst choice or the best choice.

You must regain your spiritual discernment.

I pray in the name of the Lord that you make the best choices in life.

Please look at verses 59–60.

All saints, I hope you will be able to discern the best choice amidst various situations.

Therefore, I hope you live a life full of evidence that gives the greatest glory to God.

You can choose the true God and choose faith.

I bless you to have a life filled with such evidence.

The path of the flesh and the path of religion are, in fact, failure and destruction.

When making a spiritual choice, everyone who walked the path of the covenant ended up on the path of failure.

Are you at a crossroads of an important choice today?

I hope you make the best choice you won't regret.

Please make a choice of faith.

Please make a God-centered choice.

To do that, it is important that our spiritual eyes remain open.

Therefore, you must be able to continue enjoying what God desires and spiritual things.

How can we do this? We must make the worship service successful.

You must be able to see it properly.

You must receive grace.

We must continue to receive grace.

You must change your thinking until you can.

Not all problems we think of are problems.

The visible response may not be the real response.

To those in the heat, I hope you can make a choice of faith.

This is the conclusion. We are always at a crossroads of choices.

We stand at a crossroads every day, facing choices whether to choose circumstances or faith, and whether to choose unbelief or faith.

I believe that when we make the choice to be in the Kingdom of God spiritually, we will miraculously enjoy our lives.

Please remember that although I have chosen the Kingdom of God, it will miraculously guide our lives.

Therefore, we believe that we must boldly make a choice of faith, looking to God who takes perfect responsibility for our lives.

I hope you enjoy the blessings of Christ, the Kingdom of God, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and the blessing of uniqueness.

I hope you live a life without regrets.

I hope you live a life without regrets and make choices without regrets.

Therefore, I pray in the name of the Lord that you may be saved this week and become an absolute disciple of Christ.

Thank you, God. As the Word says today, I choose You as my top priority, and please grant me Your grace in response.

Please let our choice become a choice of uniqueness.

Please let my steps be blessed so that I may live a life without regrets this week.

I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
