A vessel chosen by God
Acts 9:10-19
You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
I thought about what to say this week.
However, this worry was unnecessary.
The person hearing this told me that when they heard it clearly, this message was the answer.
This message is not just what I say, but a message I convey to the other person.
I hope you receive the message God gives me accurately.
I hope that when you meet someone, you will not worry about what to say to them, but instead remember the sermon from that week and be able to deliver the message that is truly necessary to them.
This message from the pulpit is to be conveyed in every encounter throughout the week, and to enter into that place to bring life to everyone.
If you testify to this pulpit message and also testify to the pulpit message in the upper room, that message will come alive and move.
God knows all of you, not just me.
God finds and delivers the words you need.
Everyone, do you know the term "turning point"?
It means a turning point.
A turning point is when my life was going well but then starts to flow in a different direction due to this turning point.
Our life of faith was a turning point so significant that our lives were completely transformed between before and after meeting Jesus.
Great persecution came to Jerusalem. One of the leaders of this was Saul. It was also another name for Paul.
He was a man filled with threats and murderous intent. He made every effort to arrest those who believed in Jesus. Saul believed that this was precisely what would help Jesus.
Then, if Stephen's martyrdom was the cause of the spread of the gospel of Israel to other lands, these events intertwined to become a turning point in Saul's life.
In this way, God gives you a spiritual identity.
It is the spiritual identity given by God.
It is not made by humans.
He did not tell us to evangelize the world or go forth for the Gentiles.
It is simply that God has prepared it for use.
The first grace of election is the grace of being chosen as a child of God.
Everyone, are you sure that you have become children of God?
God has chosen you.
What an amazing blessing of the Holy Spirit!
Your life of faith begins from this point on.
Today, as you meditate once again on God choosing you again, I hope you enjoy His blessings through your life of faith.
This is the gospel as a mission society.
Now He is calling us to a mission.
I pray in the name of the Lord that you realize through the scripture passage what God’s mission is for us.
I hope you realize that God has chosen me as a tool to save lives.
If you live constantly conscious of the fact that He chose you to save lives, you will continue to focus when you hear the Word.
It is because we must save someone today through this message.
Even if you are told not to pray, you will find yourself entering into prayer.
It means entering deeper into the Word.
Even if you are told not to pray, you will end up praying; even if you are told not to hold onto the Word, you will end up holding onto the Word.
We have no choice but to preach the gospel of life that Jesus is the Christ.
It must be 24 in another place.
I hope you receive assurance regarding the mission God has given me.
To the watchtower of God who gave me this mission, I pray in the name of the Lord that your life of faith may be unwavering.
The persecution sparked by the martyrdom of Stephen prevented Christians from shrinking back and allowed them to live comfortably and complacently, but instead, it became a persecution that scattered them to various regions and countries.
Tribulation and persecution can actually become a blessing.
Because of this, the number of people who believe in Jesus is bound to keep increasing.
As he was going to persecute those who believed in Jesus, the light of heaven shone upon Saul.
It was the event of the first encounter with the resurrected Jesus Christ.
Then from heaven, a voice said, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" And Saul asked, "Who are you?" And Jesus said, "It is Jesus, whom you are persecuting."
Saul heard the voice calling him.
Saul kept asking questions, but He kept answering that He is the Jesus whom he is persecuting.
It was not simply about believing in Jesus; Saul's persecution was directed toward Jesus.
However, by meeting Jesus, all darkness receded.
He thought that persecuting God was pleasing to God, but Saul's beliefs and values were all shattered at once.
There were substantial, external changes.
Conversion is precisely when it brings about a change in character. Saul came to be converted.
We have completely broken the old mold and established a new one.
It was a holistic encounter.
Before meeting Christ, Paul had an old mindset. He was filled with anger and was in a state of oppression, wanting to kill people.
How much internal conflict must he have felt?
What did you do when you were unbelievers, before you met Jesus?
After Paul met Jesus, he himself came under persecution.
He had been persecuting others, but after meeting Christ, he came to persecute me for Christ's sake.
I realized how grateful I am to live as an evangelist.
He must have lived his entire life in that joy and happiness.
He was so convinced that he immediately returned to the synagogue and lived as an evangelist with such happiness and joy that he testified that Jesus was the Son of God, perplexing many Jews.
He was so accurate that now another prophet was persecuting him and trying to imprison him.
Paul never looked back. After believing in Jesus, without regret or doubt regarding the former things, Paul lived solely for this, wholeheartedly and persistently until the day of his martyrdom.
It is the discovery of the value of the Gospel.
I believe that the spiritual experience of Damascus will come to you as well.
You can change at this very moment you hear the message today.
Paul was changed 'immediately.' This is also the core of today's message.
When I hear the voice of God, I meet Him immediately and listen attentively.
All saints, I pray in the name of the Lord that you may live a life of covenant, holding fast to the Word proclaimed from the pulpit, praying, and moving forward wherever the Holy Spirit tells you to go and wherever He leads you.
Secondly, I hope Saul experiences Damascus.
Please look at verse 10.
The Lord prepared Ananias, one of the 70 disciples in that region, for Saul for a long time.
There must have been many people in that area.
There were people capable of bringing about change.
Today, Ananias heard the voice of God in verse 6.
While continuing to hold onto God's plan for the region, He is choosing and calling it.
Looking at verse 11 of the text, he was anxious as he watched the Lord’s footsteps going to find Saul.
He walked toward that person, clearly having come to arrest him, but he told him to move forward.
That is how important the word of God was. Ananias believed this word.
Saul realized that he was a vessel chosen by God.
So Ananias immediately went to find Saul.
Saul and Ananias went to see him immediately.
The common characteristic of people of the Holy Spirit is 'immediately'.
Jesus is a prophet. Jesus resurrected and is still alive and active today.
He said that He would take complete responsibility for my life, past, present, and future.
Thirdly, the Lord is with us and continues to work.
Jesus will come as the Lord of the Second Coming.
It means to live a life moving toward heaven on this earth.
You just need to live knowing the basis for why you must preach the gospel.
It can only be completely concluded with Christ.
God used Ananias as His chosen vessel for the transformation of Paul, the evangelist of this era.
I hope you make the most of every encounter this week.
We must somehow revive the content of Paul's team ministry today.
I believe that as a vessel chosen by God, He will use you in the field this week.
No matter what position you assume, I hope you maintain your spiritual identity as a vessel chosen by God.
Let us confess together: 'I am a vessel chosen by God.'
I hope that all of you saints will possess a clear spiritual identity as vessels chosen by God.
I bless you to become a saver.
In conclusion, we live only once. We do not live twice.
Some people spend their entire lives searching for food, while others spend their lives living with someone.
What kind of life should we live before we leave this world?
We are not meant to live a life of fear or worry.
Our lives are truly precious.
When this life ends, you must become a blue ox.
Our lives are not something that can be achieved just by trying many times.
Please make sure to experience our identity.
We must make clear our spiritual identity that we are children of God.
We are children who have inherited heaven.
The goal is not to live a long life. The goal is the Kingdom of God. We have been sent to this earth for that purpose.
This is the divine mandate, and this is the person who has received the divine mandate for world evangelization.
If you are a vessel chosen by God, you just need to wait to see how God will use you.
When God says He will use us, no one can stop us.
I hope you live a blessed life being used by God in the field.
Thank God.
Please let a turning point in life come to us, just as the life of Paul, who was a persecutor, was transformed; and grant that we may fulfill all our missions by faith, with a spiritual identity, trust in God who has chosen us, and firm faith in our mission and calling.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
