Stephen's eternal tower
Acts 7:54-60
The passage from the Book of Acts that we are examining every week tells us how the gospel of God is spreading.
Acts 1:8 provides an overall bird's-eye view of the Book of Acts.
As prophesied by Jesus, the Holy Spirit descended at Pentecost and in the Upper Room.
And it is a message that shows how the gospel spread from then on to Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, and consequently to the ends of the earth.
The words up to Acts chapter 6 describe the work of the Holy Spirit that came upon Jerusalem.
It answers the revival of the early church that manifested through the gospel movement.
The result is Acts 6:7.
The word of God is becoming increasingly powerful, and God's will is coming to Jerusalem.
However, God uses one person to bring about this amazing history of revival.
It was Stephen.
That method was death.
It was the martyrdom of Stephen.
Everyone, have you heard the term "influencer"?
Young people have probably heard of it.
I hope the rest of you will learn as well.
Please refer to this to see if such a word exists.
This influencer means influence.
This word means a person who influences others.
An influential person.
It refers to people who exert significant influence, mainly on social media.
It is a newly coined term because many people use this media through social media.
It refers to people who influence many people by posting text or photos on YouTube or Instagram.
It is actually enjoying great popularity.
They say the profits are also enormous.
Therefore, an influencer is someone who gains popularity and revenue and exerts influence over many people.
Simply put, it refers to someone who influences many people and sparks their interest by creating content such as mukbang (eating shows) or videos of themselves eating, as well as content related to health, beauty, and the economy.
Today, a spiritual influencer appears who is on a completely different level from such influencers.
It means that he is a person who exerts spiritual influence.
It is Stephen.
When I think of Stephen, two things come to mind.
He was the first to enjoy the Holy Spirit and is the first martyr in Christian history.
The meaning of this name is crown.
True to the meaning of this name, I did the work of offering the crown of victory to God.
It means that it was used as its name suggests.
Therefore, it is important for us to also give the Remnants names that carry such spiritual meaning.
Therefore, you must make your name a covenant and enjoy the covenant of offering the crown of victory to God like Stephen, and receiving the crown of victory from God.
Stephen's martyrdom served as a catalyst, spreading the gospel that had remained confined to Jerusalem.
Just like worldly influencers, they all live the life of Genesis chapters 3, 6, and 11 centered on themselves through the Word.
I hope you become a spiritual influencer who receives a spiritual crown like Stephen, rather than just this kind of influencer.
That is why you continue to write the Book of Acts.
What is important is the evidence that the gospel influencer continues to move forward confidently.
Getting to the point, how should it be done?
What must be done first?
Many non-believers in the world want to live a life that influences them. How can you do that?
What must be done first?
First, Stephen had a firm faith in the Word.
Although I did not mention it today, the words in the beginning and middle of the Book of Acts are also very important.
According to Acts 6, Stephen was the spiritual commander on the ground.
In a way, he was a role model for high-ranking officials of this era.
Great wonders and signs appeared to such a Stephen.
What is important is not that great signs and wonders appeared, but that the Holy Spirit worked through the Gospel.
Because He was with Stephen as he proclaimed this gospel, tremendous things happened.
So, Stephen thought of the people who were in the same cultural sphere as him.
I wanted to save the people I was with in the past.
Stephen used a negotiation strategy.
In fact, the originator of the negotiation strategy is Stephen.
Stephen entered the council hoping that others would realize the true gospel just as he did.
However, they were too completely bound by laws and institutions.
So, they did not accept this gospel of resurrection.
What was more important than life was his beliefs and what he had enjoyed.
After this, they arrested Stephen, calling him a heretic.
This is Satan's strategy to kill the saints.
He conveyed to others this tremendous thing of having experienced only Jesus Christ and Stephen.
proclaimed this refined message.
The tower of this word was firmly established within Stephen.
If the tower of the Word is firmly built, it is possible.
The core of Stephen's message is the meaning that Jesus is the Christ.
The one prophesied in Genesis 3:15 is none other than Jesus Christ.
Just as Stephen had a thorough understanding of the entire history of the Old Testament, I hope that you also know everything through the Word.
I believe we will enjoy this gospel: the fact that Jesus is the Christ in Matthew 16:16–20, and that He will go forth to all nations and peoples and save them all in Matthew 28 and Acts 1:8.
I believe you will stand as a leading figure in transforming the field.
What is especially important is that you must not miss this sermon delivered every week.
Because the gospel message continues to be proclaimed from the pulpit, once the pulpit and 24 are established, the rest will be built up automatically.
So, we are all given 24.
How and by what standards do you live your 24 hours?
How you spend your 24 hours and the choices you make is the most important thing.
How I spend my life with my thoughts is the most important thing.
We are disciples of Christ who follow the Word.
The Word must be the standard in any situation.
Spiritual influence is transmitted to that place where a 24-hour prayer tower has been established.
It flows into the home, family, and workplace.
You will engage in academic and professional settings.
This is exactly like building a watchtower at the site.
In fact, I came to experience the response of only, uniqueness, and re-creation.
Beloved saints, we must do the Word 24 together.
Stephen left behind an eternal tower.
Stephen believed that life on this earth was important, but above all, he left an eternal watchtower on this earth.
Acts 1:8, which I mentioned in the introduction, is the core sentence of the Book of Acts above all else.
If you read this, it tells you to go. It tells you to move forward.
Who wrote this? They were supposed to become witnesses, and it was said that they would be witnesses, but no one stepped forward.
The spiritual impact of God's covenant on this land must be tremendous.
We must deliver the sure gospel to the Gentiles through the important tasting that screens them.
You can think of it this way: 'People of diverse ethnicities are those sent by God.'
God sent it, so how important could it be?
He moved forward into the life of an evangelist and a missionary.
God remembered this life.
Paul, who would become the greatest evangelist in the future, was influenced by the martyrdom of Stephen.
I grabbed its head and tried to hit it with an axe.
He said that he was at peace in the midst of death.
This is what it feels like to serve the Gospel.
You have probably come to realize that this is what it feels like to be at peace.
I believe I must live and die a life like this, which had such a tremendous impact on Saul.
I hope you live a life where you can exert the influence of faith.
Since you only live once, I hope you live and die for the Gospel.
This is the conclusion.
There is a second death. It is that there is someone who is dead yet claims to be alive.
You and I must become people who have the hope of heaven through that vessel.
We are a saved people and children of God.
It refers to an evangelist who possesses life. There must be many saints and greatness.
I pray.
Your life does not end with being saved; you must go beyond the grace of salvation of a true saint and become a true evangelist who waits until the Lord gives birth.
Saints, although Stephen was martyred, I believe that a second and a third Stephen will appear.
I hope that all of you saints will be able to walk like Stephen.
I would like to introduce a book. It is called 'What Have You Been Doing?'
He is a believer who is like a missionary who went abroad to study.
It seems your husband probably worked at that school as well.
I have come to Korea for the World Environment Seminar.
At that moment, God's brief moment changed the course of a lifetime.
He is someone who went from being a saint to ultimately living the life of a pastor.
He is still doing a lot of work.
Isn't this a question God will ask us in the future?
That isn't really a question to ask the person next to you.
This is a question to ask between God and us.
I hope to be able to answer this question with a heart full of emotion.
"Lord, I have worked for God my whole life as an evangelist."
I hope to be able to answer this before God.
I pray in the name of the Lord that you may leave behind a crown of glory and a crown of victory, just like Stephen and the Apostle Paul.
Thank God.
There are many deaths, but I believe there is a death that lives on forever.
As an evangelist, please enable me to live a life like Stephen, capable of exerting an influence of faith on this land.
Please allow us to receive the crown of victory and the crown of the covenant before God.
Since we live only once, please let us live a life for the Gospel.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
